Q. How do I locate sources for an English composition assignment?

Answer

To locate books on a topic with differing kinds of authorship, use you topic as a SUBJECT search in the library catalog (follow this link).  Some of the subheadings will hint that you have a book of essays, or conferences, or others that may have organizations as authors or an editor.  If you have trouble interepreting the subject headings ask a librarian!

To help you with your assignment, we recommend that you use a Library Guide: here is the direct link to all the library guides: this link will direct you to the list of guides by SUBJECT  The guide you might find most useful is the one that is created for all the ENGL100: Composition sections.  Here is the friendly URL: http://research.lhup.edu/CompositionEng100  This guide moves you through the types of information and suggests strategies on how to develop your topic and topic words.
