Q. Quiet policy

I am on the third floor, the quiet study floor, but there is a group of students speaking in a non-whispered normal voice. These same students have had cell phones ringing, and participated in a very loud discussion which is disrupting my studying. These students should be asked to move to a study/media room, yet nothing has been said. Should I let someone know?

Answer

Hello, we are sorry for the disruption!

We can certainly act on this concern if you would leave us information where the disruption is happening. Be sure to let us know through text, chat, or tell the student at the desk, and they will contact a staff member who will address the disruptive individuals.  On 3rd, or  Ground Floor periodical area, a staff member will speak to the individuals that they are on a Quiet Study floor--as soon as we know about it.  We can ask that these groups find a group study room, or move to another area where quiet conversation is allowed 2nd Floor, the Tutoring area, Children's Library and 1st Floor.
