Google Drive offers a suite of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software that is compatible with MS Office. You access these programs off the Google Drive website: Google Drive requires you to create an account. Once you create an account, you can access your Google Drive documents from any computer off the web ("The Cloud").

Open Office is an open-source suite of programs that you can download to your computer  (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software).
